Which grimoire for affliction

The macro also works if you still have your felhunter summoned. I would assume this macro would work for any variant of the Command Demon spell, but I specially made this for focus target counterspells in PvP. This macro will Spell Lock your focus target if one exists.

If a focus target does not exist, it will Spell Lock your current target. Reminder: Spell Lock is castable on any target within Line of Sight, degrees from the caster and inside the 40 yard range. If you place in Spell Lock for the showtooltip the button will grey out and addons such as omniCC will not put a cooldown timer on it, because it is using the spell ID from the felhunter's abilities.

Pets use Fel Engery as a resource, which the warlock does not have, which in turn grays it out the button. The macro still works but you get no cooldown timer. If you chose to use your own icon Id recommend the Spell Lock Icon personally , you will still get the Command Demon tooltip but the cooldown timer and macro still function.

Comment by Anger It is interesting to note that the Glyph of Demon Training does indeed buff the pet-spell you gain this way. Unfortunately the only spell that is granted by Grimoire of Sacrifice, that is also buffed by the Glyph, is Seduction.

Since Blizzard implemented a courtesy respawn for pets in fights that involve changing platforms that a pet can't path effectively, your demon WILL respawn on platform change and, thus, cancel out your GoS buff. So you have to sacrifice it again and again. Not that much of a problem, but still a distraction. Comment by Melech Either the tooltip is bugged or this got an invisible buff, the effect lasts for 60 minutes rather than the stated Comment by they really ought to add a glyph that switches the special ability you gain from whichever demon you sacrifice to that demon's other special ability: make it a minor glyph and we could use it for niche encounters.

Comment by Corq For some reason, everytimes I do Madness, this spell fades when jumping between the platforms. Your pet is automatically resurrected from this and you have to cast this spell again.

Ive had it happen as well when going from a dungeon to a battleground. Also, flames of Xoroth resurrects your pet immediately will be lit up as if usable. I notice that I don't have an active demon and clicking the flames simply does nothing, but uses it's cooldown.

Gets annoying sometimes getting prepared for a boss fight. Comment by jcrad When you sacrifice your Felhunter or Succubus to receive Spell Lock or Seduction, how do you actually use their gained ability? I do not see them anywhere in my spellbook, except under passive, which I cannot add to my hotbar to cast when I would like to? Has anyone else had this problem? Hearthstone: Grimoire of Sacrifice. Comment by Thorngral Untill they add some kind of fury generation to this, It will be subpar for demo warlocks.

The damage boost does not measure up to the loss of fury from the pet. Comment by A friend of mine asked me to write a macro for the use of Grimoire of Sacrifice and. If you have a pet out and use its ability for example Felhunter spell lock and lets say ether you were fake casted or for some other reason you need another interrupt. Clicking this macro will res the pet and let you cast a new spell lock.

Effectively merging the two ability's together. I greatly prefer this macro over Grimoire of Service and summoning a second felhunter. For one thing while the pet is sacrificed you gain increased damage to your spells and both Sacrifice and FoX cooldowns are under two minutes with Grimoire of Service I included other pet's simply because I don't always need spell locks. This macro won't suit all specs and talent trees. But if its a macro that fits your play style.

I hope it helps. Comment by Arikara Any word on how this interacts with Demonology Mastery? Seeing as how part of the mastery increases the damage done by your pet, and all.

Comment by Silmarieni As of January 8th, sacrifice on the succubus does give Seduction, not whiplash. We left a few ogre corpses in our wake, but studying the ritual circle of Vim'gol revealed additional ways of bolstering our power using demonic sarifices. While the act greatly enrages our demonic servants, fusing their life energy to our own provides a dramatic increase in power. With a little experimentation, I discovered that the more closely linked you are with the demon you sarifice, the great the power of the ritual.

Comment by perculia Ghostcrawler's thoughts on this talent: If you hate pets, take Grimoire of Sacrifice though I also have to challenge a little bit why you picked a pet class to play in the first place. The average warlock should have a demon out. Comment by Affliction locks screwed much? Idc what anybody says. That's the reason we're last on dps spec list. As if it wasn't bad enough after the last patch. And I don't like the other specs where you either turn into a ridiculous looking demon or have a fugly eyeball following you around.

Even if I wouldn't use sacrifice which would drop my dps to nothing, they went and took Imps blood pact away too. My favorite demon is stripped! I want my Imp or no demon and Grimoire of Sacrifice being reduced to half is just tragic. I'm super pissed. Same goes for Arcane mages btw, dmg reduction all over. Comment by GPTurismo If they really want to make this talent less attractive they need to change Soul Link to where it doesn't have such a detriment to your pets health pool.

Comment by Liquidsteel To those Affliction warlocks who believe the sky is falling over the sac nerfs, stop. At ilvl where I am currently the difference between Sac and Supremacy is around 1k dps k sac, k supremacy. Supremacy will still be better until you gear up more, at which point sac will overtake again and all is back to normal.

We're still able to top the damage meters, we just aren't so far ahead any more. Affliction still scales ridiculously well with gear, also. Stacks up to 3 times.
